DYS weekly email for Oct. 17th

Hello everyone,

I hope you have had a good week! Thank you for all of your hard work to make it a wonderful concert evening last Sunday. I thought it went very smoothly and sounded magnificent. Two parents have sent in links of videos and photos. See the Youth Symphony Blog for more details.

We have some great new pieces for our December concert (audio links below):

Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg by Wagner

Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis  by Vaughan Williams

Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson

Some of the parts have been scanned, but there are some that won’t be available online (with bowings) until tomorrow. You can check the Youth Symphony Blog and see if your parts are available. We will bring paper copies in on Saturday as well.

If your part isn’t available on the blog yet, you can preview it (without bowings) from IMSLP. (link here)
