Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!!! 2018 is going to be a great year for ISO. This Saturday (January 8th) is our first rehearsal of the spring semester. Please review all ISO music before Saturday to maximize our rehearsal time. We music teachers, and conductors, will be practicing hard too. The DUSS faculty will perform Vivaldi's 4 Seasons on January 27th at 4pm in the Nelson music room.  Come out and support your favorite music teachers!

ISO is currently working on music for our Baroque concert on March 4th. Stephanie Vial, from the Vivaldi Project, will host an orchestra workshop on Febuary 10th. Vial, along with her trio, will be teaching baroque technique along with a performance of baroque music!

Keep an eye out for other great workshops such as the David Carter cello masterclass January 20th and Jaqueline Wolborsky violin masterclass on Febuary 3rd. These are amazing opportunities to advance technique on your instrument. Please visit the DUSS website for more details.

Stay warm and keep practicing! Also, it is not too late to make a New Year's resolution. Maybe 2018 is the year you develop better vibrato, learn all your major and minor scales and arpeggios, perfect your bow grip and learn to pull huge sound from your instrument. Last thing, always remember to use a metronome!!! Seeya this Saturday!
