Concert Dress Code:
The purpose for the dress code is so the audience will stay focused on the music during the performance and won’t be distracted by individuals in the ensembles or orchestras. The code has been made to create the best-looking and most uniform appearance at the lowest cost to families. Therefore, if a musician comes to a concert in unacceptable attire, he or she will not be allowed on stage until the problem has been resolved.
Beginners: Something dressy, any color (Beginners dress code remains the same even though they are playing with Intermediate I)
Intermediates, Youth Orchestra, and Chamber Groups: Women wear solid white blouses and solid black skirts (tea length or floor length) or solid black slacks. No short or tight skirts, please. Dark dress shoes.
Men wear solid white shirts and black pants. Dark socks and shoes.
Jewelry should be kept at a minimum. NO flip flops or sports shoes please. Dark should be preferably black.
