Welcome to the DUSS Youth Symphony 2025/26!
The repertoire for our concert on November 16 @4:30 will include: Concerto Grosso Op. 6 No. 6 in G Minor (all movements) by G. F. Handel, Concerto Grosso No. 1 for String Orchestra and Piano (mov't I. Allegro energico e pesante) by E. Bloch, and Serenade for Strings op. 48 (I. Pezzo in forma di Sonatina) by P. Tchaikovsky. The orchestra will play the whole Serenade for Strings over the course of the 3 concert cycles.
Each week, please bring: Your instrument, a pencil or two, your music folder. If you leave your folder (or anything else) in Bone, check the lost and found clear bin the following week.

Important: Let Huifang Zhang know if you need to miss class due to an illness or important conflict. She will be periodically updating the orchestra on what to prepare for the next rehearsal.
Please review our attendance policies HERE. Note that if students miss too many rehearsals (not including illness absences) or are not prepared for a concert, they won’t be able to play in that performance, or will be moved to the back of the section so as to not disturb seating leading up to the concert.
Please bring your music to your lessons for individual assistance as needed throughout the year.
