This intriguing piece by Hubert Parry was commissioned by Helen, Countess of Radnor, who lived in Longford Castle near Salisbury, England. She was a woman who pushed boundaries for the Victorian era, including commissioning this piece for orchestra, and then conducted it herself!
I look forward to working on the following movements with the Youth Symphony Chamber Orchestra this spring: I. Prelude, III. Sarabande, IV. Bourree, VI. Gigue.

Our rehearsals are A Saturdays from 12:40-1:40 in the Baldwin Tent: 3/6, 3/20, 4/10, 4/24*, 5/8*.

Please bring these 4 movements to your lessons, listen to the recording below, practice them with the metronome speed marked in the part and come ready to play on March 6th!
Looking forward-
