Welcome to Violin Choir III, Fall 2022

I am excited to see you for our first rehearsal on Saturday, September 10 in room 101 from 11:15-12:15pm! Please arrive 5 minutes early to get unpacked and ready to tune. The repertoire will be: The Harmonious Blacksmith by Handel, a fiddle tune called Johnny Wagoners, and The Skaters' Waltz by Walteufel. These parts are attached to this blog post in case you ever need another copy. We will have folders with music printed out for you on Saturday.

Please bring: A well-fitting mask, a sturdy stand labeled with your name, your instrument, and a pencil (or 2). We may have enough stands in the class, but they tend to wander, so please bring an extra if you have one, just in case. We will be masking in class until Duke University relaxes the mask protocol, which will likely happen when new case numbers are lower.

Important: If you or someone in your household Covid symptoms and/or tests positive, please do not come to rehearsal that Saturday. Simply email me and I will make sure to give you assignments so that you can know what to work on during the week. If a student tests negative but is still ill (fever or vomiting in the last 48 hours, active cough, sore throat, doesn't feel well enough to play and participate), please do not come to class.

Please review our attendance policies HERE.

I am looking forward to the new year!
