Students who are not currently enrolled in the Duke University String School are welcome to audition to participate in the camp. All students are required to have at least 1 year of private instruction on their instrument (usually at least 2 years of lessons), and are currently taking private lessons.
New Students: Will submit video recording for ensemble placement. The video should include a scale and a solo piece which best demonstrates your ability.
You can submit a video by by uploading the video to your GoogleDrive and sharing it with email@example.com. You can also upload your video to YouTube on the private setting and share the link with firstname.lastname@example.org. High quality cell phone videos are just fine. Please refer to the audition requirements for our ensembles listed here. The due date for video auditions for the Early Bird rate is May 31st (extended). Early submissions are welcome and encouraged for fast feedback! Submissions after May 31st are welcome as well, though we cannot guarantee spots will be available and the Regular Registration fee will apply.
Please be aware that students are placed in ensemble based on their ability level, not age.
