Dear Beginner Violin group class, We have come a long way from open string pizzicato! For the last concert, we will play two non-Suzuki pieces together: Watching the Clouds, and Chichipapa. Watching the Clouds has a tricky rhythm and a new concept: slurs. Chichipapa will help us work on moving our fingers more quickly. Hi everyone, I look forward to our concert on March 3rd, and our new repertoire for our end-of-year concert on April 28th. We will be playing Lightly Row as a group, and also exploring beyond Suzuki pieces as well with The Clown and This Old Man. Saturday, November 11th is our 50th Anniversary Celebration concert! The Beginner Violin group class will be playing: 1. Twinkle Warm Up (Tiri Tiri Ti Ti on the A string 8x, and circle off) 2. GDG, DAD, AEA pizzicato, AEA with the bow (down bow and up bow versions) 3. Orange Blossom Special The Concert Starts at 4pm, but please note students need to arrive at 2:30pm to rehearse Orange Blossom Special with all of the violin and cello choirs. Hi all, Attached is the Beginner Violin part for Orange Blossom Special- our 50th Anniversary piece that the entire school will be playing the weekend of the 50th celebration! I will have copies of the piece in class. Our part is a combination of a version of AEA with a martele bow stroke and tiri tiri ti ti (but with 1/8 notes and quarter notes instead of 1/16 and 1/8 notes).
